“30 MINUTE MIRACLES” CONTEST DREMEL ROTARY TOOLS OFFICIAL RULES

  1. HOW TO ENTER:No purchase necessary.  For adults ages 18 and older.  In 200 words or less, write a tip for the most clever, useful and fun home improvement project that can be accomplished in 30 minutes or less using Dremel tools.  Submit tip online at www.dremel.com, or send tips, your name, address, age, and daytime phone number to:

    One entry per person; each entry must be submitted to www.dremel.com or mailed separately. All entries must address all criteria outlined in the entry form to be qualified. Incomplete or illegible entries, or entries without a signature will not be honored.
     
    All entries become the property of Dremel, and none will be returned. Dremel is not responsible for entries which are lost, incomplete, damaged, illegible, late, postage due or misdirected.
     
  2. ENTRY DEADLINE: Contest starts at 12:00:00 a.m. EDT on November 2, 2009. Online entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. EDT on December 31, 2009. All entries submitted via U.S. postal service must be postmarked by December 31, 2009 and received by sponsor January 7, 2010.
     
  3. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION: One grand-prize winner will be selected by a Dremel internal judging panel to receive the prizes outlined below by January 21, 2010. If the grand-prize winner is deemed ineligible, a second winner will be selected. There will also be one (1) second-prize winner and one (1) third-prize winner who will receive the prizes outlined below. The grand-prize winner, second-prize winner and third-prize winner will be notified by Dremel on or before January 28, 2010 via phone. Entrants agree that Dremel and its agents have the sole right to determine the winner of the contest and all matters or disputes arising from the contest and that its determination is final and binding. Dremel reserves the exclusive right to determine winners and reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the Contest without notice.
     
  4. THE PRIZE: One winner (1) will be awarded a $2,500 American Express® Gift Card by Dremel. One winner (1) will be awarded a $1,000 American Express Gift Card by Dremel. One winner (1) will be awarded a $500 American Express Gift Card by Dremel.
     
  5. ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS
    a. This contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Employees of Robert Bosch Tool Corporation and its subsidiaries, affiliates and advertising agencies, and their immediate families, are not eligible to win.
    b. Entrants must be age 18 or older and a legal U.S. resident in order to win. Open only to residents of the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, excluding Puerto Rico, U.S. Territories and U.S. Possessions.
     
  6. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
    a. Use of winner's name: By entering, each entrant grants permission, without further compensation, to Dremel and its agents and licensees, to use the entrant's name, voice, photograph, likeness and biographical material for print and promotional purposes in connection with the contest. Entrant’s name may be shared with Dremel partners for marketing purposes.
    b. Execution of Affidavit and Release: By entering, each entrant agrees that if selected as a winner, he/she will sign an affidavit of eligibility and publicity release (where legal) and a release and waiver of liability. The prize will be forfeited and awarded to another entrant if the winner is not eligible in accordance with these rules or if winner does not execute and return to Dremel the affidavit, release and waiver within ten (10) days of winner notification, or if the selected winner is not eligible in accordance with these rules. One (1) prize per person.
    c. Release Sponsor of Liability: By entering, contestants agree to release Dremel from any claim, loss, liability, damage or injury of any kind arising from their participation and the participation of their companions in the contest or their receipt or use of the contest prize.
    d. No Prize Substitutions: No substitute prizes are available. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash. If the prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Dremel reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value.
    e. Taxes: Federal state and local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner, who will receive a 1099 tax form reflecting the actual value of any prize valued at $600 or more.
     
  7. MISCELLANEOUS
    a. Dremel shall have all rights to publicize the inductees’ entry.
    b. By submitting an entry, participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules.
    c. Entry constitutes permission to use winners’ name and likeness and entries for publicity purposes without further compensation (except where prohibited by law). Inductees agree to be available for media interviews.
    d. Any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this contest, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of litigation (including but not limited to class action), and exclusively by arbitration. Claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this contest, but in no event attorney’s fees.
